I want to say that I have especially cherished this last stretch with Danielle. I have been amazed at how somebody with a nine-word vocabulary could still give so much, care so much, reach out and show an immense amount of humor. Her little sun-heart just beamed out of that bed. Danielle really loved and cared about everybody in her life. There were times I would go to her bed and say, "What do you want to talk about?" Of course, it was all question and answer. "Do you want to talk about friends?" "Yeah." "Have you heard about this person?" "Yeah." And we'd go through the list. It's just astronomical. The thing that kept coming up every single time was that her heart was open to everybody. It was always open, but throughout her illness it opened even more. Danielle did such a good job taking care of me, of helping me through this. She made sure I took care of myself, and our friendship just grew and grew, as I think her friendships with everyone did.

She really loved everybody. I want you all to know that.
